Description

A flavorful and comforting one-bowl meal made with ground beef, soy sauce, and aromatic spices, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients by mincing garlic and ginger, slicing green onions, and cooking your rice.
  2. Sauté the garlic and ginger in sesame oil for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Cook the ground beef in the skillet, breaking it up until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Add soy sauce and brown sugar to the beef, mixing well and cooking for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Adjust seasonings as necessary, adding more sugar or soy sauce to taste.
  6. Serve the beef mixture over rice and top with sliced green onions.

Notes

For a spicy kick, add gochujang instead of red pepper flakes. This dish can be customized with vegetables or served with lime and sesame seeds.
