A refreshing summer classic, this sweet strawberry pie is a delightful blend of luscious strawberries and a buttery crust.


Ingredients

  • 1 (9-inch) Frozen Pie Crust (baked)
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • 1 ½ cups Water
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch
  • 1 lb Strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 (3 oz) pkg Strawberry Jello

Instructions

  1. Prepare the crust by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C) if unbaked. Follow package instructions for baking if necessary. Let cool.
  2. Make the filling by combining 1 cup sugar, 1 ½ cups water, and ¼ cup cornstarch in a saucepan. Stir constantly over medium heat until thickened, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  3. Add the strawberry Jello to the thickened mixture and mix until dissolved. Gently fold in sliced strawberries.
  4. Assemble the pie by pouring the strawberry filling into the cooled pie crust. Spread evenly.
  5. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours until set.
  6. Serve with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream.
