- 3 pounds fresh strawberries, stems removed
- 1/3 cup honey
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Pinch of salt
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Prep your strawberries by washing them under cool water and removing the green stems.
- Set up the slow cooker by placing all the strawberries into it.
- Sweeten the deal by adding granulated sugar and honey over the strawberries, mixing gently.
- Add lemon juice, salt, and vanilla extract, stirring everything together.
- Set the slow cooker to low for about 4-6 hours (or high for 2-3 hours).
- Mash the strawberries with a potato masher once cooking time is finished.
- Cool and store the strawberry butter in airtight jars in the fridge.
Notes
This strawberry butter can last up to two weeks in the fridge. Great for toast, pancakes, or yogurt.
