Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups fresh peaches, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare a 9×5 inch loaf pan by greasing it with cooking spray or butter and dusting it with flour.
  3. Mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
  4. Cream the softened butter and sugar in another bowl until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the dry mixture with the wet mixture, alternating with the buttermilk.
  7. Fold in the chopped peaches gently.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack.
