  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup ripe nectarines, diced
  • 1/2 cup nectarine glaze (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare your loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  3. Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
  4. Cream the sugars and butter together until fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Mix in the dry ingredients gradually.
  7. Fold in the lightly dusted nectarines.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  9. Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For best results, let the bread cool before slicing. It can be frozen for up to 3 months and tastes even better the next day.
