- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup ripe nectarines, diced
- 1/2 cup nectarine glaze (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare your loaf pan by greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
- Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Cream the sugars and butter together until fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
- Mix in the dry ingredients gradually.
- Fold in the lightly dusted nectarines.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
- Bake for about 50-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
For best results, let the bread cool before slicing. It can be frozen for up to 3 months and tastes even better the next day.
