Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced

  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).

  3. Cut the puff pastry into a large rectangle, about 10 inches long and 5 inches wide.
  4. Add cream cheese mixture to the center of each pastry rectangle.
  5. Spoon it out, leaving about an inch of pastry around the edges.
  6. Layer the sliced strawberries on top of the cream cheese.
  7. Add a drizzle of strawberry jam over the strawberries.
  8. Fold the edges of the pastry rectangles towards the center.
  9. Prepare for baking by placing them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and brush with beaten egg.
  10. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.
  11. Cool for a few minutes and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

For a vegan version, use non-dairy milk instead of egg wash.
