- 2 1/2 cups (350 g) all-purpose flour
- 2/3 cup (140 g) granulated sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/4 cups (280 g) cold unsalted butter, cut into small cubes
- 1/4 cup (50 g) brown sugar, preferably dark
- 5 cups pitted, peeled, and chopped peaches (about 7–8 peaches/2.5 pounds)
- 1/4 cup (35 g) all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons (90 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the flour, granulated sugar, and salt in a large mixing bowl. Add the cold butter cubes.
- Mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
- Set aside about 1 cup of the crumble mixture for the topping.
- Press the remaining mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×13 inch baking dish to create a solid crust layer.
- Combine the chopped peaches, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in another bowl. Pour in the heavy cream and stir.
- Pour the peach mixture over the crust in the baking dish and spread it out evenly.
- Sprinkle the reserved crumble mixture on top of the peach filling.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the filling is bubbly around the edges.
- Cool in the pan for at least 20-30 minutes before slicing.
Notes
Serve warm or at room temperature. Top with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
