- 1 bag pretzel rods
- 1 bag white candy melts
- 1 bag red candy melts
- 1 bag blue candy melts
- Patriotic sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
- Melt the Candy Melts: Start by taking your white, red, and blue candy melts and placing each color into separate microwave-safe bowls. Heat them up in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between until they’re melted and smooth.
- Dip the Pretzel Rods: Once your melts are nice and smooth, grab a pretzel rod and dip it into the melted white candy until it’s about halfway covered, letting any excess drip off.
- Sprinkle Time: While the melted candy is still wet, sprinkle your favorite patriotic sprinkles over the dipped pretzel.
- Let Them Set: Place the dipped pretzel rods on wax paper or a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Allow them to set at room temperature, or pop them in the fridge for about 10-15 minutes.
- Get Creative! Once your pretzel rods have hardened, drizzle some leftover candy melts over the top for an added visual effect.
Notes
These pretzel rods can be made a week in advance and stored in an airtight container. Use different colored melts and sprinkles for various occasions.
