Description
Tender turkey wings smothered in rich, savory gravy, perfect for a family dinner or cozy night in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4–5 Turkey Wing Portions (cut in half, 8–10 total)
- 1 tbsp All-Purpose Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Poultry Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Cajun Seasoning
- 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
- 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
- 1 tsp Celery Salt
- 1 tsp Ground Mustard
- 1 Large Onion (sliced)
- 1 Green Bell Pepper (sliced)
- 1 Red Bell Pepper (sliced)
- 1 stick Unsalted Butter (sliced thinly)
- 2 tsp Avocado Oil
Instructions
- Prep the turkey wings: Start by rinsing your turkey wings under cold water and patting them dry with a paper towel.
- Season generously: In a large bowl, mix your all-purpose seasoning, poultry seasoning, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, Italian seasoning, celery salt, and ground mustard. Toss the turkey wings in this spice blend until thoroughly coated.
- Sear the wings: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil. Once shimmering, add the turkey wings, working in batches if needed. Sear them for about 4-5 minutes on each side.
- Cook the veggies: In the same pan, toss in the onion and bell peppers. Sauté for about 5-7 minutes until they’re softened and fragrant.
- Create the sauce: Return the turkey wings back to the skillet, dot the sliced butter over the wings, and add a splash of water or chicken broth (about 1 cup).
- Simmer and smother: Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let simmer for about 45-60 minutes until the wings are tender.
- Serve it up: Transfer the turkey wings to a serving platter, smother them in gravy, and garnish with fresh herbs.
Notes
These wings taste even better the next day as the flavors deepen.
