- 1 ball of pizza dough (about 12-inch)
- 1 head of garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil, divided
- 1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded
- 3/4 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Fresh basil leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Roast the Garlic: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut the top off the head of garlic to expose the cloves, drizzle with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, and wrap it in foil. Roast in the oven for about 30-35 minutes until the cloves are soft and caramelized. When it’s done, let it cool slightly, then squeeze the roasted garlic into a bowl.
- Prepare the Pizza Dough: If you’re using store-bought dough, let it sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes—it makes it easier to stretch and shape. If homemade, ensure it’s risen and ready for action! On a floured surface, stretch or roll out the dough to about a 12-inch round. Aim for a thicker edge to create that perfect crust!
- Make the Sauce: Mix the roasted garlic with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and a little black pepper in your bowl. This will be your savory sauce base.
- Spread the Sauce: Evenly spread the roasted garlic mixture over your pizza dough, leaving a little edge for the crust. The aroma alone will make your kitchen come alive!
- Add the Cheeses: Place dollops of ricotta around the pizza, letting it create little pockets of creamy goodness. Next, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella generously over the top, followed by the grated Parmesan.
