Description
A comforting classic that combines hearty meatballs with luxurious garlic butter and creamy pasta, perfect for any weeknight dinner or cozy weekend treat.
Ingredients
Scale
- Spaghetti or pasta of choice
- Leftover meatballs or fresh meatball recipe
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water. Toss in your spaghetti or pasta of choice and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about a cup of pasta water and drain the rest.
- Melt the Butter: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt about 4 tablespoons of butter until it foams up and becomes slightly nutty.
- Sauté the Garlic: Once the butter is melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant and golden.
- Add the Meatballs: Toss in leftover meatballs and heat through, coating them in garlic butter.
- Make the Sauce: Pour in the heavy cream and stir until blended. Allow it to simmer for a few minutes until slightly thickened.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Lower the heat and add the drained pasta. Toss to combine, using reserved pasta water if the sauce is too thick.
- Finish with Cheese: Remove from heat and stir in grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Garnish and Serve: Plate the pasta in bowls, sprinkle with extra grated Parmesan and chopped parsley, and drizzle with olive oil if desired.
