Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Clean and slice mushrooms, chop onion, and mince garlic.
- Sauté aromatics: Heat olive oil, add onions, and sauté until translucent.
- Add garlic and mushrooms, season with salt and pepper, and sauté until golden.
- Deglaze the pan: Add broth to lift flavor bits from the bottom.
- Stir in cream until well combined, adjusting thickness with broth if needed.
- Add herbs, adjusting seasoning as needed.
- Ready the protein by adding cooked meat or tofu.
- Serve with pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and grated cheese if desired.
Notes
For a vegan variation, use plant-based cream and omit meat. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
