  • 4 oz (115 g) cream cheese, softened and cubed
  • ¼ cup (60 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • ½ cup (120 ml) whole milk
  • 1 large egg
  • ½ cup (65 g) all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ cup (50 g) shredded cheddar cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the softened cream cheese, melted butter, and milk in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Add the large egg and whisk until fully incorporated.
  4. Incorporate the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and black pepper.
  5. Introduce the whole kernel corn and cream-style corn to the mixture.
  6. Prepare a 9×9-inch baking dish by greasing it lightly.
  7. Pour the corn mixture into the greased baking dish.
  8. Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese on top if using.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and set.
  10. Cool for 10-15 minutes before serving.
