- 1 can (21 oz) cherry pie filling
- 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Grab a 9×13 inch baking dish and lightly grease it.
- Beat the cream cheese with sugar and vanilla until smooth.
- Dollop the cream cheese mixture into the baking dish and spread it out.
- Pour the cherry pie filling over the cream cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the yellow cake mix evenly over the cherries.
- Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
- Optional: Sprinkle pecans on top.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Cool for about 15-20 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm with whipped cream or vanilla ice cream for an extra treat. You can also experiment with different fruit fillings and cake mixes.
