  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups peeled and diced apples
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and remaining granulated sugar until light and fluffy (about 3-5 minutes).
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then mix in the milk and vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined.
  6. Fold in the diced apples gently until evenly dispersed throughout the batter.
  7. Prepare the crumble topping by mixing the remaining flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon, then working in softened butter until coarse crumbs form.
