Description

A delightful layered dessert that’s perfect for summer gatherings and Fourth of July celebrations, featuring vibrant jello and creamy goodness.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box blue jello (3oz)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 2 packets unflavored gelatin
  • ½ cup cold water
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14oz/395g)
  • 1 box red jello (3oz)
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • Whipped cream (for topping)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix the blue jello powder with 1 cup of boiling water in a medium bowl. Stir until fully dissolved.
  2. Add 1 cup of cold water to the dissolved jello and mix gently.
  3. Pour the blue jello mixture into clear dessert cups, filling them about one-third full. Chill in the refrigerator until set (1-2 hours).
  4. Sprinkle 2 packets of unflavored gelatin over ½ cup of cold water in a small bowl and let sit for 5-10 minutes.
  5. Heat 1 cup of boiling water in a saucepan. Remove from heat and whisk in the bloomed gelatin until dissolved. Stir in the sweetened condensed milk.
  6. Carefully pour the creamy gelatin mixture on top of the blue layer, filling cups one-third of the way. Chill until set (1-2 hours).
  7. Repeat the process for the red layer: mix red jello powder with 1 cup boiling water, followed by 1 cup cold water.
  8. Pour the red jello mixture on top of the white layer, filling the cups to the top. Chill until set (1-2 hours).
  9. Top each cup with whipped cream and sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles before serving.

Notes

Allow each layer to set fully before adding the next to keep layers distinct. Feel free to customize the flavors of jello to your preference.
