Description

A warm and comforting Southern Peach Cobbler that wraps you in the coziness of home, filled with sweet peaches and a buttery batter.


Ingredients

  • Fresh Peaches (6-8 medium)
  • Granulated Sugar (1 cup)
  • Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
  • All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)
  • Baking Powder (2 teaspoons)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Milk (1 cup)
  • Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup, melted)
  • Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the peaches by peeling and slicing them, then toss in a bowl with half of the granulated sugar and sprinkle of cinnamon.
  3. Make the batter by whisking together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then pour in milk and melted butter.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish without spreading it perfectly.
  5. Add the peach mixture over the top of the batter without stirring it in.
  6. Bake for about 35-45 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Try adding nuts or berries for variation.
