A warm and comforting Southern Peach Cobbler that wraps you in the coziness of home, filled with sweet peaches and a buttery batter.
Ingredients
- Fresh Peaches (6-8 medium)
- Granulated Sugar (1 cup)
- Brown Sugar (1/2 cup)
- All-Purpose Flour (1 cup)
- Baking Powder (2 teaspoons)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Unsalted Butter (1/2 cup, melted)
- Cinnamon (1 teaspoon)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the peaches by peeling and slicing them, then toss in a bowl with half of the granulated sugar and sprinkle of cinnamon.
- Make the batter by whisking together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt. Then pour in milk and melted butter.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish without spreading it perfectly.
- Add the peach mixture over the top of the batter without stirring it in.
- Bake for about 35-45 minutes or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for a delightful treat. Try adding nuts or berries for variation.
