A simple yet flavorful Garlic Parmesan Pasta that brings warmth and comfort to your dining table.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- 4 tablespoons butter (or olive oil for a lighter option)
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese (or Pecorino Romano)
- Salt, to taste
- Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add spaghetti and cook according to package instructions until al dente, about 8-10 minutes. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Drain spaghetti and add to the saucepan. Toss to coat with the garlic and butter. Add Parmesan cheese and a splash of reserved pasta water, adjusting for a creamy consistency.
- Season to Perfection: Add salt and pepper to taste, tossing to combine.
- Serve It Up: Plate the pasta, garnishing with more Parmesan and a drizzle of olive oil. Optionally top with fresh herbs.
Notes
