Description

Delightfully moist blondies infused with warm fall flavors from sweet apples and rich maple glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup butter (softened)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 large apples (chopped finely)
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Cream the softened butter, sugar, and brown sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the wet and dry mixtures until just combined.
  6. Prepare the apples by sautéing them in butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon until softened.
  7. Fold the sautéed apples into the batter.
  8. Spread the batter in the prepared dish and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Let them cool in the pan for 10-15 minutes.
  10. Make the glaze by whisking maple syrup, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and cinnamon.
  11. Glaze the cooled blondies.

Notes

Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
