Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets, skin on
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prep the salmon by patting the fillets dry with paper towels.
  2. Season generously with salt and pepper on the skin-side.
  3. Make the glaze by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ground ginger in a small bowl.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and let them sear for about 5 minutes without moving them.
  6. Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden.
  7. Glaze the salmon with the prepared honey garlic mix, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
  8. Finish by removing from heat, resting for a minute, and garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

To enhance presentation, serve over steamed rice or quinoa with a side of sautéed veggies.
