- 1/4 cup honey
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground ginger
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the salmon by patting the fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season generously with salt and pepper on the skin-side.
- Make the glaze by whisking together honey, soy sauce, minced garlic, and ground ginger in a small bowl.
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Add the salmon fillets, skin side down, and let them sear for about 5 minutes without moving them.
- Flip the salmon carefully and cook for another 2-3 minutes until golden.
- Glaze the salmon with the prepared honey garlic mix, cooking for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Finish by removing from heat, resting for a minute, and garnishing with sesame seeds and green onions.
