Description

A delightful wrap that combines crispy chicken, smoky bacon, fresh vegetables, and creamy sauce all wrapped in a warm tortilla.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs Boneless, Skinless Chicken Breasts
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup Flour (for coating)
  • 2 large Eggs (beaten)
  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (seasoned preferred)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Paprika
  • Vegetable Oil (for frying)
  • 1 tbsp Olive Oil (for frying tortillas)
  • 4 large Flour Tortillas
  • 4 slices Cooked Bacon (crispy)
  • 1 cup Shredded Lettuce
  • 1 large Tomato (sliced)
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise (for sauce)
  • 1 tbsp Dijon Mustard (for sauce)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese (Cheddar recommended)

Instructions

  1. Prep the Chicken: Start by patting dry your chicken breasts with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
  2. Coating Station: Set up a dredging station with three shallow bowls: one with flour, one for the beaten eggs, and one for breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and paprika.
  3. Dredge the Chicken: Coat each seasoned chicken breast in flour, dip it in the eggs, and then coat it in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, add enough vegetable oil to cover the bottom of the pan and heat over medium-high until shimmering.
  5. Fry the Chicken: Carefully place the breaded chicken in the hot oil, frying for about 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  6. Crisp the Tortillas: Wipe down the pan, add olive oil, and fry the tortillas for about 30 seconds on each side.
  7. Assemble the Wraps: Spread mayo and Dijon on the tortillas, and layer with lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, and fried chicken pieces.
  8. Wrap it Up: Fold in the sides of the tortilla and roll it up tightly.
  9. Slice and Serve: Cut the wraps in half diagonally and serve.
