Description

Tender chicken breast in a rich, creamy sauce made with heavy cream, fresh basil, and Parmesan cheese, perfect for a flavorful dinner.


Ingredients

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 yellow onion, finely minced
  • 34 ounces roasted red peppers, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup packed fresh basil leaves plus more for garnish
  • 1 cup fresh grated parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken stock
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
  2. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest on a plate.
  5. Toss the minced garlic and onions into the skillet and sauté until fragrant.
  6. Add the roasted red peppers, paprika, and crushed red pepper flakes.
  7. Pour in the heavy cream and white wine, allowing it to simmer for about 5 minutes.
  8. Incorporate the grated Parmesan and fresh basil into the sauce.
  9. Nestle the chicken back into the sauce and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.

Notes

Serve over mashed potatoes, rice, or pasta. Garnish with fresh basil and additional Parmesan if desired.
