- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 4 pita pockets
- 1 cup lettuce, shredded
- 1 tomato, diced
- 1/2 cucumber, diced
- 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
- 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
- Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
- Add cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, mix well and let simmer for a few minutes.
- Prepare the pita pockets by warming them in a preheated oven or on a skillet for a few minutes.
- Build the pita pockets by layering the warm pita with shredded lettuce, beef mixture, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and drizzling with tzatziki sauce.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious pita pockets!
