Description

Juicy ground beef seasoned to perfection, wrapped in warm pita with fresh veggies and creamy tzatziki.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 4 pita pockets
  • 1 cup lettuce, shredded
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 1/2 cucumber, diced
  • 1/2 cup feta cheese, crumbled
  • 1/4 cup tzatziki sauce

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onion and garlic in olive oil until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add minced garlic and sauté for an additional minute.
  2. Brown the ground beef over medium-high heat, cooking until browned and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes.
  3. Add cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper, mix well and let simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Prepare the pita pockets by warming them in a preheated oven or on a skillet for a few minutes.
  5. Build the pita pockets by layering the warm pita with shredded lettuce, beef mixture, diced tomatoes, cucumbers, feta cheese, and drizzling with tzatziki sauce.
  6. Serve and enjoy your delicious pita pockets!
