- 1 cup butter (softened)
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract

- 2 large apples (chopped finely)
- 2 Tbsp brown sugar (for topping)
- 1 Tbsp butter (for topping)
- 1/4 cup pure maple syrup
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (for glaze)
- 1/8 tsp ground cinnamon (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking dish with parchment paper.
- Mix the dry ingredients: whisk the flour, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon in a large bowl.
- Cream the butter, sugar, and dark brown sugar together until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time, followed by the vanilla extract, and mix until just combined.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just combined, avoiding overmixing.
- Fold in the finely chopped apples evenly.
- Pour the batter into the prepared dish, smooth the top, then sprinkle with brown sugar and drizzle with melted butter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, until golden and a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Prepare the maple glaze by whisking together the powdered sugar, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon.
- Cool the blondies for about 10 minutes, then drizzle with the maple glaze.
