  • 1 cup Milk

  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries, sliced
  • Optional: Chocolate Ganache for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare two 9-inch round cake pans by greasing and flouring them.
  3. Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
  4. Cream the unsalted butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
  5. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.
  6. Combine the flour mixture with the butter mixture, alternating with the milk.
  7. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  10. Prepare the buttercream by beating together softened butter, powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and milk until smooth.
  11. Layer the cakes, frosting between layers with buttercream and strawberries.
  12. Drizzle with chocolate ganache if desired.

Notes

For a chocolate version, substitute half of the flour with cocoa powder. Consider adding lemon zest for a fresh twist!
