- 1 ball easy pizza dough (or store-bought dough)
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 small garlic clove, grated
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- ¼ teaspoon fine salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
- 5 oz fresh mozzarella
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley for garnish
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
- Prepare your dough: let it rest if homemade, or follow store-bought instructions.
- Stretch the dough on a floured surface to about 12 inches in diameter.
- Oil one side of the dough with olive oil on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Prep the garlic and herbs: mix garlic, parsley, lemon zest, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the garlic-herb mixture over the oiled side of the dough.
- Add torn mozzarella pieces on top.
- Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the entire pizza.
- Bake for about 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with olive oil, lemon juice, chopped parsley, and black pepper before slicing.
Notes
For a twist, try adding olives or seasonal veggies. This pizza is forgiving and can be adapted to suit your taste!
