Instructions
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, and salt. Gradually mix in the warm milk and softened butter.
- Add the Egg: Beat in the egg until smooth and well-combined.
- Knead: Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour.
- Make the Filling: Mix the brown sugar and ground cinnamon in a bowl until combined.
- Shape the Bites: Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread softened butter, and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar filling.
- Roll It Up: Starting from one edge, roll the dough into a tight log and slice into bite-sized pieces.
- Second Rise: Place the pieces on a lined baking sheet and cover again, letting them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Bake: Bake for about 15-18 minutes until golden brown.
- Make the Glaze: Whisk together powdered sugar, milk or cream, and vanilla until smooth.
