Description

Delight in these gooey cinnamon rolls infused with the flavors of peach cobbler, featuring a rich cream cheese glaze.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup Milk (Warm to 110°F)
  • 1 packet Active Dry Yeast (2 1/4 tsp)
  • 2 large Eggs (Room temperature)
  • 4 cups All-Purpose Flour (Spoon and level)
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 cup White Granulated Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Unsalted Butter (Room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Brown Sugar
  • 2 tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 34 medium Peaches (Yields about 16 oz)
  • 1 tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (Room temperature)
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 1/4 cup Optional Peach Jam (Homemade or store-bought)
  • 1 cup Cinnamon Crumb Topping (Prepare ahead)

Instructions

  1. Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, active dry yeast, and a teaspoon of sugar. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5 minutes until it’s frothy.
  2. Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, the remaining sugar, and salt. Create a well in the center and add your frothy yeast mixture, room temperature eggs, and soft butter.
  3. Mix until the dough comes together. Use your hands if you need to!
  4. Knead It Out: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead for about 8-10 minutes until it’s smooth and elastic.
  5. Rise & Shine: Place your dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a kitchen towel. Let it rise for about 1 – 1.5 hours or until doubled in size.
  6. The Filling: While the dough is rising, chop up those juicy peaches and toss them with lemon juice, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
  7. Roll It Out: Once your dough has risen, punch it down gently and roll it out on a floured surface into a large rectangle (about 18 x 24 inches).
  8. Spread a soft layer of butter and sprinkle the peach mixture evenly across the dough.
  9. Shape it Up: Starting at one edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch to seal the seam and then slice it into 12-15 rolls.
  10. Second Rise: Place the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover with a towel, and let them rise for another 30-45 minutes.
  11. Bake Away: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  12. Glaze It!: Mix your cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Drizzle it generously over the warm cinnamon rolls.

Notes

Serve warm with a drizzle of optional peach jam for extra fruity flavor.
