A delightful summer dessert featuring juicy nectarines topped with a crunchy cinnamon oat pecan streusel.

- 4 cups nectarines, sliced
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the nectarines by slicing them into thin wedges and placing them in a large mixing bowl. Add granulated sugar and lemon juice, toss gently, and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
- Make the streusel topping by combining rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, chopped pecans, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter in another bowl. Mix using your hands for best results.
- Assemble the crisp by greasing a baking dish. Spoon the nectarines into the bottom and sprinkle the streusel topping over the fruit.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and nectarines are bubbling.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also add a drizzle of caramel sauce.
