Description

A delightful summer dessert featuring juicy nectarines topped with a crunchy cinnamon oat pecan streusel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups nectarines, sliced
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup pecans, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the nectarines by slicing them into thin wedges and placing them in a large mixing bowl. Add granulated sugar and lemon juice, toss gently, and let sit for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Make the streusel topping by combining rolled oats, all-purpose flour, brown sugar, chopped pecans, cinnamon, salt, and melted butter in another bowl. Mix using your hands for best results.
  4. Assemble the crisp by greasing a baking dish. Spoon the nectarines into the bottom and sprinkle the streusel topping over the fruit.
  5. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the topping is golden brown and nectarines are bubbling.
  6. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve warm topped with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. You can also add a drizzle of caramel sauce.
