- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar or your choice)
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder (optional)
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika (optional)
- 1–2 tablespoons cold water (if needed)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, salt, garlic powder, and paprika (if using).
- Stir in the shredded cheese, making sure it is well-coated.
- Add the softened butter and mix until crumbly.
- Mix in cold water as needed until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough to about 1/8-inch thickness on a floured surface.
- Cut into shapes and poke holes in the center of each cracker.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
These crackers are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven and can be customized with various herbs and spices.
