Description

Deliciously crispy air fryer churro bites coated in cinnamon sugar, easy to make and full of flavor.

  • 1 cup water
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Dough: In a medium saucepan, melt the butter in the water over medium heat. Once it starts simmering, remove from heat and add the flour and salt. Stir until combined, forming a smooth, thick batter.
  2. Incorporate the Eggs: Let the dough cool slightly. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until you have a smooth batter.
  3. Preheat the Air Fryer: Preheat to 375°F (190°C) for optimal crispiness.
  4. Shape Your Churro Bites: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Use a piping bag or scoop small mounds of dough onto the sheet.
  5. Cook Them Up: Spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray. Place churro bites in a single layer and cook for about 10-12 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Shake halfway through for even cooking.
  6. Sugar Coating: While churro bites are cooking, mix sugar and cinnamon in a bowl. Toss the warm churro bites in the mixture once done.
