- 1.5 pounds sirloin steak
- 12 oz twisted pasta (rotini or fusilli)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Olive oil for cooking
Instructions
- Prep your ingredients: Cut your sirloin into bite-sized pieces, season lightly, and bring a pot of salted water to boil.
- Cook the pasta: Add the twisted pasta to boiling water and cook for 8-10 minutes, reserving 1 cup of pasta water.
- Sear the steak: Heat olive oil in a skillet, add seasoned steak bites, sear for 2-3 minutes on each side, then set aside.
- Make the sauce: Melt butter in the same skillet, sauté minced garlic, add heavy cream and Cajun seasoning, and simmer until thickened.
- Incorporate cheese: Lower heat and mix in Parmesan cheese until melted. Adjust sauce thickness with reserved pasta water if needed.
- Combine everything: Toss cooked pasta and steak bites into the sauce, coating well. Adjust seasoning as needed.
- Plate and enjoy: Serve warm, topped with extra Parmesan and parsley if desired.
Notes
Serve with garlic bread or a green salad, and pair with white wine or sparkling water infused with lemon.
