- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup milk
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare a 9×13 inch baking dish by greasing it with butter or non-stick spray.
- Mix together the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.
- Add melted butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients.
- Stir together until just combined; some lumps are okay.
- Combine ground cinnamon and packed brown sugar in a small bowl.
- Layer half of the batter in the dish, sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture, then pour the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Use a knife to swirl.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- Whip up the glaze by mixing powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle the glaze over the cooled cake and serve.
