Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 cup French onion dip
  • 12 ounces egg noodles
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (e.g., cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 onion, diced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add about a tablespoon of olive oil. Add the diced onion and sauté until soft and translucent, about 5–7 minutes.
  3. Add ground beef to the skillet with the onions. Break it apart and cook until browned, about 8–10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Season the mixture with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Stir in the egg noodles, beef broth, and French onion dip until well combined.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch casserole dish and adjust seasoning if needed.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheese generously over the top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Let sit for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley or chives. This casserole can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the fridge.
