- 6 fresh peaches, sliced
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the fresh peaches and toss them in a bowl with 1/2 cup sugar. Let sit for 10 minutes.
- Melt the butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the preheating oven.
- Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk until smooth.
- Pour the batter over the melted butter in your baking dish.
- Spoon the peach mixture over the batter without stirring.
- Bake for about 40-45 minutes until golden brown.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving warm, ideally with ice cream.
Notes
Serve chilled or warm, and try layering in glass jars for individual servings. Top with whipped cream or caramel sauce for extra flavor.
