Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Prepare the fresh peaches and toss with 1/2 cup of sugar, letting them sit for about 10 minutes.
- Melt 1/2 cup of unsalted butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish in the oven.
- Make the batter by whisking flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk in a bowl until smooth.
- Combine the batter over the melted butter without mixing it in.
- Add the peach mixture over the batter, allowing the juices to flow.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving warm, ideally with ice cream.
