- 1 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Combine the graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup sugar, and melted butter in a mixing bowl.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a greased 9×9-inch baking pan.
- Bake for 8 minutes.
- Beat the softened cream cheese until creamy in a large bowl.
- Gradually add in 1 cup of sugar and mix until combined.
- Add the vanilla extract and eggs, mixing well after each addition.
- Fold in the diced apples, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour the filling over the baked crust and drizzle half of the caramel sauce on top.
- Bake the whole pan for 30-35 minutes or until edges are set.
- Cool down to room temperature and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
- Slice into squares and drizzle with more caramel sauce before serving.
Notes
For a creamy texture, ensure cream cheese is softened. Let bars cool completely for easier slicing.
