Ingredients

- Sausage (Italian or your favorite variety)
- Honey
- Soy Sauce
- Garlic
- Olive Oil
- Vegetables (bell peppers, onions, or anything you have)
- Crushed Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Start by boiling a large pot of salted water and add your choice of pasta. Cook it according to the package directions until al dente. Once done, drain and set aside, reserving about a cup of pasta water.
- Sauté the Sausage: In a large skillet over medium heat, drizzle olive oil. Add sliced sausage and cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Add Aromatics: In the same skillet, add more olive oil if needed and add chopped onions and bell peppers. Sauté until softened, about 4-5 minutes, then add minced garlic and cook for an additional minute.
- Create the Sauce: Add honey, soy sauce, and crushed red pepper flakes to the skillet. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, adjusting consistency with reserved pasta water as necessary.
- Combine: Return the sausage and cooked pasta to the skillet, tossing to combine until well coated.
- Finishing Touches: Remove from heat, sprinkle with parsley and optionally squeeze lemon juice over.
- Serve It Up: Plate the pasta and enjoy your flavorful meal!
