Spinach and Ricotta Stuffed Shells

Description

Creamy and cheesy stuffed jumbo pasta shells filled with ricotta cheese and spinach, topped with marinara sauce and mozzarella. A comforting dish that’s easy to prepare!


Ingredients

  • 12 jumbo pasta shells
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup cooked spinach, chopped
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Boil the pasta shells in salted water until al dente, then drain and run under cold water.
  3. Prepare the filling by mixing ricotta, cooked spinach, half of the mozzarella, all of the Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Stuff the filled shells and place in a baking dish.
  5. Add half of the marinara sauce over the shells and sprinkle with remaining mozzarella.
  6. Bake covered with foil for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes.
  7. Let rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
  8. Serve with extra marinara sauce and enjoy!

Notes

This dish can be made ahead of time and stored in the fridge. Bake when ready to serve.
