Description

A comforting twist on classic sushi, this Spicy Salmon Sushi Bake combines rich flavors into an easy, baked dish that’s perfect for sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups Cooked Sushi Rice
  • 1 pound Fresh Salmon Fillet
  • 8 ounces Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 cup Spicy Mayo
  • 1/4 cup Green Onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds
  • 23 Nori Sheets, cut into strips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C) and grab a baking dish (about 9×13 inches).
  2. Cook your sushi rice according to package directions, usually around 20 minutes, then let it rest.
  3. Chop the fresh salmon into bite-sized pieces. In a medium bowl, combine salmon, 1/4 cup spicy mayo, and cream cheese.
  4. Spread the cooked sushi rice evenly in the bottom of your baking dish, compacting it.
  5. Layer the salmon mixture over the rice evenly.
  6. Mix panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and sesame seeds, then sprinkle over the salmon layer.
  7. Bake for about 25–30 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions and a drizzle of spicy mayo if desired.

Notes

You can assemble the sushi bake a day in advance. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
