Description

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: breadcrumbs

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles in boiling salted water until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
  3. Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  4. Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
  5. Combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef mixture, ensuring everything is well coated.
  6. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  7. Bake for 25 minutes covered with foil, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
  8. Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.

Notes

Great for family dinners or potlucks. For added texture, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking.
