- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 cups egg noodles
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the egg noodles in boiling salted water until al dente, about 6-8 minutes. Drain and set aside.
- Brown the ground beef and chopped onion in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Mix in the cream of mushroom soup, sour cream, garlic powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
- Combine the cooked egg noodles with the beef mixture, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish and top with shredded cheddar cheese.
- Bake for 25 minutes covered with foil, then uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Let it rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
Notes
Great for family dinners or potlucks. For added texture, sprinkle breadcrumbs on top before baking.
