- 2 cups cooked and shredded Chicken Breast
- 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (frozen or fresh)
- 1 can Cream of Chicken Soup (condensed)
- 1 cup Chicken Broth
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/2 cup Butter (divided)
- 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- 1 tbsp Baking Powder
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1 cup Cheddar Cheese (shredded)
- Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium pot over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter, then add chicken, mixed vegetables, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for about 5 minutes.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt. Cut in remaining butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Gradually mix in milk and fold in cheddar cheese.
- Pour the chicken filling into a greased 9-inch pie dish and dollop biscuit dough over the top.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes or until the topping is golden brown.
- Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
You can make this ahead of time by preparing the filling and biscuit dough separately. Also, consider freezing leftovers for up to three months.
