Description
Oven-Baked Turkey Wings are tender, juicy, and packed with flavor from a savory seasoning rub. Roasted until golden brown, they make a comforting, budget-friendly main dish that’s perfect for Sunday dinner or holidays when you want all the flavor of turkey without the whole bird.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3–4 turkey wings, separated at the joints
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika (smoked or sweet)
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1 teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Pat turkey wings dry with paper towels and place in a baking dish.
- Drizzle olive oil over wings, then season with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, thyme, oregano, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper. Rub evenly to coat.
- Pour chicken broth into the baking dish around the wings (not directly over them).
- Cover the dish tightly with foil and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
- Remove foil and continue baking for 30–40 minutes, until wings are golden brown and tender.
- Optional: Broil for 2–3 minutes for extra crispiness.
- Serve hot with pan juices or gravy.
Notes
- For spicier wings, add cayenne pepper or chili flakes to the seasoning mix.
- Use homemade or low-sodium chicken broth for better flavor control.
- Leftovers can be shredded and used in soups, stews, or sandwiches.
- Pair with mashed potatoes, collard greens, or cornbread for a classic Southern-style meal.
