Delicious banana muffins swirled with rich Nutella, perfect for brunch or snacks.
Ingredients

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 4 medium over-ripe bananas, mashed
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- ½ cup chopped pecans (optional)
- 1 cup Nutella (or homemade Nutella)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a muffin tin.
- Combine the dry ingredients: whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.
- Mix the wet ingredients: mash bananas and add sugar, egg, oil, and vanilla. Whisk until combined.
- Combine wet and dry mixtures, stirring gently until just combined. Fold in nuts or chocolate chips if using.
- Add Nutella by dropping spoonfuls onto the batter and swirl with a fork.
- Fill each muffin cup about ¾ full with the batter.
- Bake for 18-22 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool muffins for 5 minutes in the tin, then transfer to a wire rack.
Notes
These muffins are best served warm, optionally topped with more Nutella.
