Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs, cut into bite‑sized pieces
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried oregano
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (optional)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces with salt, black pepper, paprika, and dried oregano.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium‑high heat.
  3. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5–7 minutes. Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
  4. Reduce heat to medium and add the butter to the same skillet.
  5. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant, about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
  6. If using, pour in the chicken broth and stir to combine, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
  7. Stir in lemon juice and return the chicken to the skillet, tossing to coat in the garlic butter sauce.
  8. Cook 1–2 more minutes until everything is heated through.
  9. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve immediately over rice, pasta, or with vegetables.

Notes

  • For even more flavor, marinate the chicken in garlic and lemon juice for 15–30 minutes before cooking.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a touch of heat.
