Ingredients

Scale

1 lb flank steak (455 g), thinly sliced

3 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp grated ginger

2 tbsp sesame oil

⅓ cup low-sodium soy sauce (80 mL)

¼ cup brown sugar (55 g)

¼ cup honey (85 g)

1 cup beef broth (240 mL)

4 cups broccoli florets (700 g)

2 tbsp cornstarch

2 tbsp water

Sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

Sear Steak: Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add steak strips and sear until browned. Set aside.

Make Sauce: In the same pan, add remaining sesame oil, garlic, and ginger. Cook 1 minute. Add soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, and beef broth. Stir to combine.

Simmer: Return beef to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes.

Cook Broccoli: Steam or microwave broccoli until just tender, then add to the pan.
