Description

A luscious guava-infused cake topped with rich cream cheese frosting and glazed with a sweet guava nectar syrup.


Ingredients

  • 1 box Strawberry Cake Mix
  • 1 cup Guava Nectar or Guava Juice
  • 3 large Eggs (Room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Coconut Oil (Melted)
  • 8 oz Cream Cheese (Room temperature)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 8 oz Cool Whip (Thawed)
  • 2 1/2 cups Guava Nectar or Guava Juice (For glaze)
  • 1/2 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water (For slurry)
  • 1 cup Sweetened Coconut Flakes (For garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare the pans.
  2. Mix the strawberry cake mix, guava nectar, eggs, and melted coconut oil until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter between the prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes.
  4. Cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  5. Prepare the cream cheese frosting by beating cream cheese and sugar until smooth, then mix in vanilla and Cool Whip.
  6. Create the guava glaze by heating guava nectar, sugar, and cornstarch slurry until thickened.
  7. Assemble the cake by placing one layer on a plate, frosting it, and adding the second layer.
  8. Drizzle the guava glaze over the cake and garnish with coconut flakes.

Notes

This cake can be made ahead of time; store in the fridge and add glaze before serving.
