Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Filling: In a large skillet over medium heat, add a splash of oil. Once it’s hot, toss in the ground chicken and cook until no longer pink, about 6-8 minutes. Season with garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper. Stir for another 2-3 minutes.
  2. Assemble the Wontons: Lay a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Place about a tablespoon-sized portion of the chicken mix in the center. Fold to form a triangle and press the edges tightly.
  3. Fry to Crispy Perfection: Heat oil in a large pot until it reaches about 350°F (180°C). Carefully drop the wontons into the hot oil, frying until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes on each side. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
  4. Serve It Up: Arrange the tacos on a platter and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and avocado. Drizzle with sour cream or salsa.

Notes

Wonton wrappers can be replaced with corn tortillas for a different flavor. Consider trying variations like buffalo chicken or barbecue chicken for a twist!
