- 1 cup heavy cream

Instructions
- Cook the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add the pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Reserve about 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- Sauté the Garlic: In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Add Crushed Tomatoes: Pour in crushed tomatoes, stirring to combine. Let it simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Stir in the Heavy Cream: Gradually mix in heavy cream, stirring continuously until creamy.
- Season the Sauce: Add salt and pepper, stirring to combine. Taste and adjust seasoning as necessary.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Toss cooked pasta into the sauce, using reserved pasta water to adjust the consistency if needed.
- Final Touches: Remove from heat, garnish with fresh basil and Parmesan cheese.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or coconut milk for heavy cream. Make it vegan by using coconut milk and nutritional yeast.
