Ingredients
12 oz medium pasta shells
1 lb ground beef (lean)
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1½ cups beef broth
1½ cups heavy cream or half-and-half
1 cup marinara or tomato sauce
1½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
Salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning to taste
Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
Cook pasta shells in salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef with onion over medium heat until cooked through. Drain excess grease.
Add garlic and cook for 1 more minute.
Stir in beef broth, cream, and marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
Add cooked shells and cheddar cheese. Stir until cheese is melted and everything is creamy and coated.
Season to taste and garnish with parsley.
